Summer 2023 MEMS Internship at U of L

Help us transfer elctronics to wires using microelectromechanical (MEMS) grippers.

Interested in MEMS ? There’s a summer 2023 opportunity in the Harnett lab supported by NSF award 2309482. We have a new method to assemble circuits from chips grown on different wafers for highly integrated sensor and computing systems. We need someone who can work with cleanroom staff to transfer devices to wires and collect statistics on their contact resistance, then improve the methods. You’ll also be working with undergrads in engineering and textile technology, and grad students and postdocs in robotics. There’s potential for the right candidate to get a paper or conference publication. Scroll on for more details and a contact form, where you can get an application started. If you’re interested in other opportunities besides Summer ’23 MEMS, feel free to fill out the interest form on our Join the Lab page.
